Tras la beta lanzada el mes de febrero, ya está lista la versión final de SoftMaker Office 2008, una aplicación ofimática para Windows Mobile compatible con los formatos de fichero de Office.
La versión de Office Mobile se ha mostrado siempre un poco justa frente a su equivalente en el escritorio, por lo que si necesitamos algo más potente debemos optar por otras soluciones que nos permitan el traspaso de los documentos entre ambos sistemas.
Además de un mejor soporte de las características avanzadas de los formatos, permite leer y editar archivos de Word, Excel y Powerpoint, integrando además una función de exportación a PDF de los documentos y de impresión directa desde el propio Pocket PC.
SoftMaker Office 2008 dispone también de una versión para Windows, con un precio conjunto de 99.95 euros si optamos por las dos, o de 69.95 euros si solo queremos la versión para móvil.
